30 Hours Free Childcare
You may be eligible for 30 free hours of childcare (for 38 weeks per year) if you meet certain criteria.
- Your child will be 3 or 4 years old (as with the 15 hours, the entitlement starts the term after your child’s 3rd birthday)
- Both parents must be working or the sole parent in a lone family
- Each parent must earn an average, a weekly amount equivalent to 16 hours at the national minimum wage or national living wage currently £111.20 age 21-24 and £115.20 age 25+
- Each parent must have an annual income of less than £100,000
This is basically a scheme to help working parents. Families where one parent or both parents do not work will not be eligible.
